Every year from May to September we have at least 2 large watermelons a week so I have to get a little creative and come up with some delicious tasting things to do with it so we don’t get bored.

Don’t get me wrong we never get bored of eating watermelon as it is, we just have too much sometimes and want to try different things….

Like…..

A fruity watermelon pizza,

A spicy watermelon salsa,

Healthy watermelon and raspberry ice lollies,

Another healthy treat but this time in drink form a watermelon, strawberry and rose smoothie

A sweet and sour watermelon, strawberry and rocket salad

Watermelon lollipops the easiest, yet its such a special healthy treat

If you want a taste of Cyprus then my watermelon Cypriot style is the one for you

Watermelon slushy sorbet is a great dessert on a hot summer evening

Watermelon glyko, glyko karpouzi or watermelon spoon sweet, this recipe uses up your watermelon rind so there is zero waste, the only thing I do differently is I don’t use asveti/pickling lime, because I personally don’t want that kind of calcium in my body so I don’t add it to my glyko which means my spoon sweet isn’t as crunchy as the traditional ones but I don’t mind, I just cook it for a little less time

Watermelon ice cubes, they are so simple and pimp up any drink

If you want to impress guest then my watermelon, feta and kiwi cube will have everyone ooooing and aaaaahhhhing with this easy yet fiddly fruit salad

Watermelon fruit skewers will have everyone wanting a few rainbow treats

Watermelon jelly sweets are always great to have on hand

And if you really cant be bothered to make any of these, just cut you watermelon and dig in (“,)
